Definition

This indicator measures the percentage of children with learning difficulties or any disabilities who have shown progress against their Individual Education Plan (IEP). Progress means that for at least one goal in the IEP, the teacher assessment shows that the child has made progress in the period compared to thier baseline as recorded in the teacher IEP report form. Children with learning difficulties are identified by teachers and may often be from the children with progress in the lowest quartile of the class. Definition and measurement of disability is within the following guidance.

Numerator

Number of children with learning difficulties or any disabilities who have shown progress against their Individual Education Plan (IEP). 

Denominator

Number of targeted children identified by the project supported by Save the Children (or a partner closely supported by Save the Children) to have learning difficulties or any disabilities.
