Indicator Name
Indicator ID in PRIME
Definition

Please use MEAL PIRS to state the tool and the domain(s) of focus in the project. If a sample survey was used please use use MEAL PIRS under Source of Data to show sampling method, sample size, confidence level, confidence interval, size of target population and the effect size where a comparison group was also assessed.
Numerator
Number of children (5+ years) recorded as paricipating in a project(s) directly provided by SC (or a partner closely supported by SC) who show an increase in their SEL in at least one domain compared to their previous assessment using ISELA, or other validated SEL skill-based assessment adapted to context.
Denominator
Number of children (5+ years) recorded as paricipating in a project(s) directly provided by SC (or a partner closely supported by SC) and who participated in the assessment.
Measuring this indicator requires refering to the ISELA (for 6 +) and IDELA SEL section (for 3-6) tools (or another validated SEL assessment tool) and adaptingthe to your context and project. Each child participates in the SEL assessment at baseline and then periodically. Take the lates SEL score for each child and subtract the SEL score from the previous assessment. A positive value shows improvement. Count all the children with improvement and divide this number by the total children assessed. Multiply by 100 to convert to a percentage.
This requires a tracking system and data management which enables tracking individual children over time, conducting repeat assessments with the same children and recording results against each child's unique ID number which should stay fixed throughout the project.
