Definition
This indicator measures the percentage of civil society actors who report improved access to decision-making processes. It assesses whether civil society actors perceive that their voices are included in planning and decision-making by the government or other stakeholders.
This indicator is tailored to adult civil society actors, and data is gathered at the individual level, excluding assessments of organizational capacity.
Numerator
The number of civil society actors supported by Save the Children (SC) and/or partners who report improved access to decision-making processes and agree that their voices are included in planning and decision-making.
Denominator
The total number of civil society actors supported by SC and/or partners or the size of a representative sample of civil society actors supported by SC and/or partners who were surveyed or interviewed regarding their participation in decision-making processes.
Recommended Means of Verification
Data for this indicator can be collected through surveys, interviews, or focus group discussions with civil society actors who have been supported by SC and/or partners. The responses collected from civil society actors regarding their access to decision-making processes and their perceptions of inclusion in planning and decision-making activities serve as the means of verification for this indicator.
Purpose
The purpose of this indicator is to evaluate the extent to which civil society actors perceive improvements in their access to decision-making processes and the inclusion of their voices in planning and decision-making activities.
