# of households received in-kind food assistance
This indicator captures the total number of unique households that received in-kind food assistance (e.g., food baskets, family rations) through direct distribution by Save the Children or its implementing partners during the reporting period.
Calculation: This is a count of unique households that received food assistance. If a household received food assistance multiple times across the life of the activity, the household should be counted only once. In case that an individual reach figure needs to be extracted, given that the food assistance package is designed to provide food for the entire household, either the entire household should be counted, or the average Household size should be used to calculate the total.
Data Collection Method/Tool: Routine monitoring, beneficiary registration forms, distribution lists
Data Source: Distribution reports, beneficiary records
Who Collects: Save the Children and implementing partner staff, including MEAL officers
From Whom: Distribution team, community leaders
Frequency of Collection: Data will be collected during each distribution.
