Definition

Total number of consultations (as a proxy for patients) for any service (e.g., paediatric, general outpatient department, sexual and reproductive health, nutrition services, inpatient services, etc.) from any health facility or structure (e.g., hospital, health centre, mobile clinic) that is supported (directly or indirectly) by Save the Children.
 
• Direct support refers to Save the Children providing direct clinical care or service provision
• Indirect support refers to technical, financial, logistical, supply, or any other form of support provided by Save the Children, often to the Ministry of Health.

*Any consultation with any of the health personnel, including doctors, nurses, etc, would be counted as a consultation.

Recommended Means of Verification

Calculation: Sum of consultations based on patient registers

Method: Facility registers, EPI register, line lists used to collect data from facility register

Source: Inpatient and outpatient consultations records, Programme or facility data clerk, or MEAL Officer
