Definition

This indicator measures the percentage of targeted children who benefit from improvements for climate resilience in their ECCD or education systems.

Numerator

Number of children enrolled in schools, learning spaces, home learning affected by one or more improvements in climate resilience in the education system which serves them including ECCD at home and other home learning: eligible changes include: teaching provided on environmental / climate crisis & how to assess and reduce risks, prepare, adapt and act in response to hazards and threats; children act as agent of change in their schools and community and call for more climate justice; their school or learning space has taken measures to improve its climate resilience, safety and accessibility and protection of the environment; their school or learning space managers or their local education authority have developed plans for education continuity, risk reduction or anticipatory action.

Denominator

Number of children enrolled in all the schools, learning spaces, and home learning targeted by the project.

Recommended Means of Verification

Means of Verification is currently in testing and will be available in September 2024.
