Definition

Definition

This indicator measures the percentage of targeted children with disabilities who were enabled to enrol in education. This may be one or more of: formal school, learning space, distance or blended learning opportunity, informal education, or another education program. Denominator: number of children targeted by Save the Children (or a partner closely supported by Save the Children) who were out of school or other education and identified by the project to have disabilities. The definition and measurement of disability are within the following guidance.

Number of children with disabilities supported by the project to enroll in education.

Denominator

Number of children targeted by Save the Children (or a partner closely supported by Save the Children) who were out of school or other education and identified by the project to have disabilities. 

Recommended Means of Verification

Enrolment data can be collected through a standard Education Management Information System (EMIS), a tailored digital tool such as Waliku, or any relevant project data system. If enrolment data is not available at that level, a school's survey might be necessary.
