Definition

This indicator measures the specific types of food commodities distributed (e.g., rice, lentils, cooking oil, fortified flour) and the corresponding quantities (expressed in metric tonnes) delivered to beneficiaries. If possible, it should be disaggregated by the item type.

“Weight” is measured in kilograms (kgs) or in metric tonnage (MT) of a specific item in its original packaging or kitting unit.

Recommended Means of Verification

Calculation: This indicator is a sum of the total quantity (in MT) of each food item distributed to beneficiaries during the reporting period.

Data Collection Method/Tool: Routine monitoring, distribution records, warehouse stock cards

Data Source:
- Distribution records/logs (signed by distribution teams and verified by community representatives)
- Warehouse stock reports and dispatch records
- Waybills or delivery notes
- Monitoring reports and third-party distribution verification (where applicable)
- Post-distribution monitoring surveys (to cross-check receipt by beneficiaries)
