Indicator ID in PRIME IN00069066

Definition

This indicator measures the percentage of adult-led civil society organizations and child-led organizations and formal and informal child participation structures reporting improved access to decision-making processes. It also assesses the extent to which their voices are included in planning and decision-making by the government or other stakeholders. Other stakeholders could include UN/Inter-governmental agencies, multi-stakeholder entities, or the private sector.

Recommended Means of Verification

The primary means of verification for the organizational-level indicator on access to and inclusion of views in decision-making is the organizational capacity assessment tool, which captures self-reported evidence from child-led and adult-led civil society organizations on both their capacities and the enabling environment for participation. The tool is based on the Organisational Capacity Assessment (OCA) methodology, and has been specifically tailored to the areas measured by this indicator. Data are collected through a structured quantitative questionnaire, complemented, where feasible, by qualitative discussions to support the interpretation and contextualization of findings.
