Definition	This indicator measures the percentage of children identified as needing assistive products who have been provided with appropriate assistive products with support from Save the Children (SC) and/or its partners, based on data collected through the Assistive Products Questionnaire. Children in need of assistive products are identified using a combination of functional difficulty screening and reported unmet or replacement needs. A child is considered in need of assistive products if the following is reported: 1. “a lot of difficulty” or “cannot do at all” in one or more functional domains (vision, hearing, mobility, communication, cognition, or fine motor) AND 2. “Unmet” AND/OR “Replacement” need for assistive products. Assistive products are defined as external products (devices, equipment, instruments, or software) designed to maintain or improve functioning and independence, and to support participation. Appropriate means that the assistive product is suitable for the child’s needs, age, size, daily activities, and environment. A child is considered to have been provided with appropriate assistive products if the following set of criteria is met: • Provision through support from SC and/or partners: In the last 12 months one or more assistive product(s) were provided with support from SC and/or its partners including through referral; AND • Appropriateness: At least one of the product(s) that were provided with support from SC and/or its partners (including through referral) is assessed as appropriate (i.e. suitable for the child’s needs, age, size, daily activities, and environment) AND • Status of Use: At least one of the product(s) that were provided with support from SC and/or its partners (including through referral) is “Always” or “Sometimes” used by the child.
Numerator	Number of children in need of assistive products who are currently ‘Always’ or ‘Sometimes’ using at least one appropriate assistive product provided with support from SC and/or its partners, within the reporting period.
Denominator	Total number of children identified as being in need of assistive products, based on the defined criteria, within the reporting period.

Total number of children identified as being in need of assistive products, based on the defined criteria, within the reporting period.
