Definition

This indicator measures the proportion of adult-led civil society organizations that, with support from Save the Children (SC) and/or its partners, report stronger capacities to sustain engagement in advancing respect for child rights, including the influencing of government or other stakeholders.
Other stakeholders could include UN/Inter-governmental agencies, multi-stakeholder entities, or the private sector. 

Numerator

The number of adult-led civil society organizations reporting stronger capacities to sustain engagement around advancing respect for child rights.

Denominator

The total number of surveyed adult-led civil society organizations, supported by SC and/or its partners (size of a representative sample of supported civil society organizations) 

Recommended Means of Verification

Measuring this indicator requires looking at:
(1) Surveys, Interviews, and Focus Group Discussions: Utilization of surveys, structured interviews, and focus group discussions with representatives from adult-led civil society organizations.

To calculate the indicator, divide the number of adult-led civil society organizations reporting improved capacities to sustain engagement around advancing respect for child rights by the total number of adult-led civil society organizations supported or the size of a representative sample of adult-led civil society organizations supported by Save the Children (SC) and/or its partners. Multiply the result by 100 to convert it to a percentage.

Purpose

The indicator aims to assess the effectiveness of SC's support in strengthening the capacities of adult-led civil society organizations to sustain engagement around advancing respect for child rights.
